Galatians 2:20 says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the
faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
The Bible is
full of scriptures of how we are to live in our Christian walk. In fact I like to say it is a road map or a
navigation system that will get us to our destination. The navigation system often needs updates in
the software to keep it current. Same
system, but we must download the updates that will give our system the most
current information for us. Well as it
is in the natural, so it is in the spirit; the Bible does not change and has
not changed. God says He is a God that
changes not; however, the updates are the men and women of God with the keys to
the kingdom that is unlocking deeper revelation into the same scriptures they
were reading back in the 1800’s and before.
The scriptures
tells us that our old nature was nailed to the cross with Jesus and now by
faith I must reach out and take the death that He experienced and apply it to
myself so that I can experience the resurrection power of Christ.
Death is a part
of the process that you must take in order to unleash your breakthrough to the
things you desire. A better life, a new
job, another level of living, another level of power, new realms in God, better
relationship with husband and children, change in career, starting a business
or writing a book. No matter what you
desire, death is a part of the process that will get you to your next level.
Think about the caterpillar that
goes into a cocoon in order to be transformed into a butterfly. He made a decision that he had to die to the
life as a caterpillar in order to experience new life as a butterfly. We all have decisions to make every day. Death is not a bad thing. Death is a portal that causes you to go from
one place to the next. A baby who lives
in a mother’s womb is the only environment that baby knows. He grows in there, eats in there, goes to the
bathroom in there, stretches in there, and moves around in there, etc. When the baby is born, he has to die to the only
environment he knew, the womb, in order to experience new life in the world.
Jesus was spit on, rejected by
his own, faced torture and humiliation by the roman soldiers, stripped from his
clothes, mocked, scorned, crowned with thorns, whipped and the worst was when
God turned his back because he could not look on sin. The Bible records that Jesus never opened his
mouth, He hung on the cross and died. He
did not scrum around, keep trying to adjust his self or twitching; he just hung
and died. He had to die to this world in
order to experience the resurrection power that brought Him into a new life.
Jesus is our example of what it
takes to go through this death process of the flesh so we can walk in the
spirit and experience the resurrection power of God in every area of our
lives. This is not just in church but
our everyday lives can be filled with the power of God moving if we learn how
to die to the deeds of the flesh. Romans
8 tell us that carnality brings about death, but the spiritual minded person
brings about life and peace.
I’m a living witness that when
you learn how to respond by the spirit and not react to your flesh, you will
see more manifestation of God power flowing through your life. To hear more of this message, listen to our
